We're excited to host our first bake sale of 2025! Last year, we raised more than $850 to support abortion rights and we're hoping to do even better this year.

This time, Justice Bakes will be at the OUTER Sunset farmers' market at 37th Ave and Ortega. We'll be supporting the Center for Reproductive Rights, which does great work here in the United States and globally. As women here and abroad continue to lose their rights and freedoms, we're thrilled to support this organization at this bake sale.

As the Center for Reproductive Rights highlights, the Trump regime has censored and erased information, nominated right-wing extremists, removed protections for women, and imposed global restrictions on women's rights and freedoms. The Center for Reproductive Rights isn't backing down, and neither are we. We're as motivated as ever to help support the Center's fight against the administration, and we hope you are too!

How can you help? I'm so glad you asked!

Here's how:

  1. Help staff the bake sale on March 2. (Fighting the patriarchy is always more fun with friends.)

  2. Share this email, the Justice Bakes website , and our social sites (below) with your friends!

  3. Best option: Do all of the above!

Contact us at volunteer@justicebakes.org for more information or to volunteer.

And don't forget, this bake sale will be at OUTER Sunset market rather than our usual Inner Sunset market.

Cheers to baking for abortion rights and justice,

As you know, we've been consistently holding our bake sales quarterly to raise funds for National Network of Abortion Funds and other local Funds. At our last bake sale, we also raised more than $200 for the Yes on 4 initiative in Florida to reverse their 6-week abortion ban.

We're very excited to hold a second special Election Edition of Justice Bakes in a few weeks! We're partnering with city leaders to raise funds for Proposition O, the San Francisco Reproductive Freedom Act. Prop O's intention is to make absolutely sure that San Francisco remains safe for everyone seeking comprehensive reproductive health care, regardless of the outcome of the presidential election. Justice Bakes is thrilled to support it.

How can you help? I'm so glad you asked! Here's how:

  1. Donate baked goods for this October 20 bake sale by responding to this email or by contacting volunteer@justicebakes.org. We need a dozen individual treats, granola, breads, or anything else we can sell.

  2. Help staff the bake sale on October 20. (Fighting the patriarchy is always more fun with friends.)

  3. Share this email and the Justice Bakes website with your friends!

  4. Best option: Do all of the above!

We're also working on having voter registration available, so if you're interested in helping with that, please let us know!

Contact us at volunteer@justicebakes.org for more information or to volunteer, either for the Inner Sunset Market or to organize an additional opportunity to support the ballot initiatives.

Cheers to baking for abortion rights and justice,

We're asking for all bakers and supporters on board for our next bake sale on September 22. While we'll still raise funds for National Network of Abortion Funds, we're also raising funds to support constitutional amendment ballot initiatives in one or more of the states where it's on the ballot. The more bakers and organizers we have, the more initiatives we can support!

Ten states have ballot initiatives this November: Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Maryland, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, and South Dakota. Supporting these initiatives can have the added benefit of helping to drive voter turn-out in those states.

How can you help? I'm so glad you asked! Here's how:

1. Volunteer to organize an additional bake sale at the location of your choice by responding to this email or by contacting volunteer@justicebakes.org. We've successfully raised funds for National Network at our current Inner Sunset Market location for the last two years. We'd like to support as many ballot initiatives as possible, so we're looking for volunteers to organize additional bake sales at other Farmers' Market locations of your choice. Your sale can be the same day as the Inner Sunset one or a different date.

2. Donate baked goods for the September 22 Inner Sunset bake sale by responding to this email or by contacting volunteer@justicebakes.org. We need a dozen individual treats, granola, breads, or anything else we can sell.

3. Help staff the Inner Sunset bake sale on September 22. (Fighting the patriarchy is always more fun with friends.)

4. Share this email and the Justice Bakes website with your friends!

Best option: Do all of the above!
